ICAT – A World Class Automotive Testing Centre

The International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT), Manesar, found in the northern automotive hub of India, is a leading world-class automotive testing centre, certificate and R&D service supplier under the aegis of NATRiP(National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project), Government of India.

ICAT is a significant section of the automotive sector, using its world-class infrastructure and domain expertise providing services in development, testing, validation and homologation. ICAT has started undertaking advanced industry-sponsored R&D projects in the areas of frontier technology like using Artificial Intelligence and robotics.

ICAT's vision is to emerge as a top R&D centre in Asia, working together with the automotive sector in creating state-of-the-art technologies. The automotive industry is the solar industry in India contributing to over 7.5percent to the nation's GDP. Generation of new automotive test centres from the country under NATRIP job is an important step forward by the Government to support the requirement of the automotive sector from the background of tightening regulatory framework and technologies change driven by market forces.
